Just in case my location post isn’t visible…thanks for all the information. I now feel ready to do some educated mattress shopping in Raleigh, NC. Please advise of some local sleep shops or direct manufacturers. I did find The Original Mattress Factory locally. Is that on your list of places to shop?

Yes … the Original Mattress Factory is a regional factory direct outlet and is the type of outlet that I was talking about and often recommend. In your case they are the only factory direct outlet within 100 miles of you so I would certainly make them a big priority in your mattress search. They are one of the larger regional factory direct manufacturers and have very good value.

Great, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve been reviewing their website and there is tons of info on construction of their products. I will start there with my shopping.
