I noticed that Rocky Mountain Mattresses sells products with technologies from the Bayer corporation, such as Softcel™ Memory Foam and Ultracel™ Supersoft foam. Can anyone contrast and compare the relative performance of these products with respect to the various Gel infused foam layers that are so popular?

The density of polyfoam or memory foam is the most important part of it’s durability and you can make meaningful durability comparisons between Bayer polyfoam or memory foam to the same type of foams made by other foam manufacturers based on density. Of course there are many other specs for polyfoam or memory foam that are part of how it feels and performs but these types of specs are generally not available to consumers (and would probably overwhelm most people that aren’t material scientists) so if you can’t test a mattress in person, then a more detailed conversation with the manufacturer is the most effective way to make a choice that is best for you in terms of PPP or the parts of your personal value equation that are most important to you. They will know more about the specifics of their mattresses and the materials they use than anyone else.
