Bed height

We recently purchased the 10" Ultimate Dreams mattress and the Genius Hi Rise Frame.

Our mattress sits at 24" off the floor which is quite a bit lower than our old mattress and boxsprings. We are having a hard time getting used to it and preferred the extra height.
We would like some ideas on how to raise the bed about 4". This photo resembles our setup.

I would like to keep the metal frame even with the top of the wood siderails, so we would need to raise the 4 wooden legs along with the 12 metal legs. I wish we would have gotten a 14" mattress but that is not an option now. I have seen those plastic bed risers but think it would probably look tacky and I’m not sure how the larger wooden legs would fit on them. We may just have to live with what we have unless someone has good idea.

Hi cub682,

Other than various types of leg extenders or risers (some of which like those in post #1 here may work) … I would probably try using 4" of the firmest polyfoam you could find (the firmer the better so it doesn’t affect the feel and performance of the mattress) and add a cover to it for appearance and put it in between the mattress and the frame. You could also try a low profile 4" foundation but this may “rattle around” a bit or slide on the frame. Some sources for polyfoam would be a local foam shop or online in post #4 here.
