I’m just looking for something not to be waterpoof but to be a thin layer for oils or sweat.

After looking through them none of them say really how thick they are or how breathable. The Berkeley one looks the best cause it says it has Tri-zone knit for optimum airflow whatever that means. The dilemma is you can’t buy the thing online. But most of others don’t mention much. Wondering if anyone has seen or tried some of these?
You’d have to phone a retailer of the product and you could get some idea of the product thickness that way. I’m sorry, but that’s not a focus here of the forum and not something I have the time to do. And there is not standard for breathability to which these are measured. Again, that would be a phone call to a knowledgeable retailer for more complete information about how breathable certain proctors might be.
It means that they use a knit that flows more air for a higher cfm, as compared to some tighter eeaves, while still providing protection. Use the Berkeley Ergonomics store locator to find a retailer and I’m sure they’d be happy to ship you one.
I have the Cozypure “Pebble Pique Organic Cotton Stretch Knit Mattress Protector”
It is extraordinarily soft. I think it is very breathable and probably more of a mid-weight type of thickness. I wouldn’t call it thin but by no means “thick” either. That said it was thin enough I was somewhat worried about it not thoroughly protecting the mattress so I added, underneath of it, a Holy Lamb Organics wool moisture barrier. That increased the heat retention a bit, but not terribly so (never quite bought into the whole wool thing as a temperature regulator - may be very true if you are a sheep but laying on a piece of wool doesn’t translate in the same way in my experience)
Phoenix, curious, do you know of any good forums or websites that offer good suggestions on sheets and bedding brands to check out? Unbiased reviews, etc.
The best I have regarding sheets is a sheet thread here with various links to information about sheets in general. From there you might find the information you desire, or through follow-throughs from the sites I linked.
I purchased the SuiteSleep cotton jersey protector, because I was looking for a 100% cotton mattress cover that could flex with the latex. Waterproofing isn’t critical for me, and I didn’t want anything with a urethane film that would decrease breathability. I’m pretty happy with the SuiteSleep protector. It is quite stretchy and could fit a deep mattress even after laundering it in hot water and placing it in the dryer. So far, it stays on place on the mattress even with some of the excess side material (that can be tucked under the mattress). It seems like it will protect the mattress, but it is not overly thick to interfere with the performance of the latex.
