Brooklyn Bedding gen1 vs gen2

Hi dneal,

Mario from Brooklyn Bedding actually has responded to a similar question here on the forum. You can read his reply here in post #26. Mattress companies are always refining their products with different materials, and from the feedback Brooklyn Bedding had received from their customers they went to the change of using the TitanFlex foam instead of the latex in the upper comfort layers. It is a very durable and high quality material with a buoyancy that is similar (but not quite as much) as latex.

Without having a version of each model next to each other and then being able to test one immediately after another, you really wouldn’t be able to tell if you have an affinity specifically for one versus the other. And while other people may have a preference for one version versus the other, I wouldn’t use anyone else’s opinion, no matter how well intentioned, as an indication of which style might be your personal favorite. Overall, the uppermost layers on the plush version using the TitanFlex foam would probably feel softer to most people than the plush version using latex, but again different people can have differing opinions on this.

As I often advise, you may wish to place a phone call directly to Brooklyn Bedding with your concerns and specific desires and ask for their thoughts on which version they think might best suit your needs. They will know more about their mattresses and how they respond to a wider group of individuals than anyone else.
