Bunkbed...Ultimate Dreams?

Would the Ultimate Dreams gel 13" mattress from amazon be a good choir for a 9 year old boys loft bed? he loves our Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme.

Thank you,
Jennifer

Hi Jennidrew1143,

I would tend to avoid mattresses that were that soft for children who typically need a firmer mattress to keep their growing spine healthy.

If it’s going on the top bunk … I would also make sure that the weight was suitable for the rating of the bed.

If you go with memory foam at all … I would tend towards thinner layers. Perhaps their 10" model (which is also much lighter).

I would personally tend towards using more resilient materials until they had stopped growing.

What kind of resilient materials would you lean toward?

thanks!

Hi Jennidrew1143,

Post #2 here has links to the most informative posts on the forum that are connected to children and mattresses. It includes links to lots of ideas, information, and sources for children’s mattresses.

Hope this helps (I should have linked it in my last answer).
