There aren’t any local manufacturers in Savannah, GA that I know of but the better possibilities I’m aware of both in Savannah and with a longer drive in various directions are listed in post #2 here.
I would talk with each of them on the phone first to tell them about the type of mattress you are looking for (a lower budget but “better quality” memory foam mattress?) and then visit the ones that are most helpful and promising and have suitable mattresses on the floor for you to test.
