We have just started our mattress search and are leaning toward the latex mattresses. There are a few places in San Antonio to try out latex mattresses. Most of the latex mattresses we have seen are a single sided, with layers in the latex. One place has the layered latex mattress with a topper on top that can be changed if your needs changes. Seems like a good idea. However, another place makes their beds to order and have a 10 inch double sided natural talalay mattress made of 18-24 ILD latex. I have not heard of a double sided latex mattress in my research, is it better than a single sided one? It was about the same price as the single sided layered ones.

Latex is a very high quality and durable material whether it is in a one sided mattress or a two sided mattress but there is more about the pros and cons of a two sided mattress in post #3 here and the posts it links to.
