I’m looking for a mattress again. The Ecosleep felt wonderful for a year, but as the support layers softened the lack of support threw my posture a bit out of alignment. Based on my experience so far I’m definitely considering Brooklyn Bedding. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my latex mattress, I just wish the support could last a bit longer.
Good quality materials are a must and I’m looking to try something a bit firmer. Based on the specs below, the Medium Brooklyn Bedding Best Mattress Ever seems like a good fit. It appears to be somewhat firmer based on the ILD, however has an extra inch of comfort material. Or maybe I should just go with the firm as I know comfort layers will soften over time.
Soft = 2" 19ILD Talalay Latex with 2" 30ILD Dunlop Latex
Medium = 2" 28ILD Talalay Latex with 2" 32ILD Dunlop Latex
Firm = 2" 32ILD Talalay Latex with 2" 34ILD Dunlop Latex
For comparison–Ecosleep Obsession = 1" 19 ILD Talalay Latex & 2" 24 ILD Talalay Latex on a 7" Polyfoam Base
The extra inch of comfort layers gives me some pause though as the problem is my bottom half sinking a bit too much giving me back pain.
