Hi Ari,
Thanks for the update on that! The original post was a few years old and I see they’ve changed a few of their foams specs, which I’ve updated on the site.
Thank you!

Their change is disappointing!
Hi Ari,
Their mattress still uses some high quality materials, especially the multiple layers of high performance polyfoam, and for most people (under the low 200s or so) would contain componentry that was durable. I’m not familiar with the specific reasoning for the changes, but they are constantly evolving their design.

I like them a lot and they do recommend the bed for higher weight ranges anyway. Was just something I noticed
Hi Phoenix,
Thanks for this site and all you and the team are doing to maintain it and educate people. Truly invaluable as I wonder how to think about price for various white slabs of foam and spring.
I know this is an older thread, but I’ve landed here multiple times looking for NYC specific reqs (high on relevance search), and I’m sure others are using this thread.
One potential update: I’m not sure Nest Bedding has a NYC presence in 2024. I’d love to compare them in person v. Avocado and others, but their site shows them pulled back to only a handful of states.
There may be other updates. I know you’re trying not to maintain geo-specific recommendations, but if there is any ‘new’ news regarding NYC, would love to hear it!
Thanks,
Mr. G
Also FYI for New Yorkers, looks like Urban Natural no longer sells Berkeley Ergonomics (only Naturepedic), so Scott Jordan is the only game in town for that brand.
