guidelines for foundation support?

Just realized when starting to assemble my SleepEZ latex mattress and foundation that I need something underneath, like a metal bed frame. Right now I have nothing like that, and need to buy something.

Is there anything I should look for or avoid? Like a center rail – good or bad?

Would legs or rollers attached to the wood frame itself be OK, or does the bed need to be supported all around?

Hi powerdog,

You could either use a steel bedframe similar to the ones mentioned in post #10 here (which all have good center support which is necessary) or you could use a set of bedlegs such as these which you can read about in post #1 here. Either way a center beam with good support to the floor is important with larger sizes to prevent sagging in the middle.
