…So…our next task is finding a platform bed to put the thing in. We would really like to find something with storage drawers underneath and a storage headboard (with shelves or something). We’ve been to IKEA and found this:

and we’d add this headboard:
We’d like to keep the price around $600 or under. Would this be a good choice for either of the 2 mattresses linked above? Does anyone have any other sources or recommendations I can check out within our budget? Thanks for the help
I’m not personally familiar with the Ikea beds and furniture isn’t my area of expertise but I did take a look at the assembly instructions and it has a center beam (which needs to be picked up separately but is included in the price) with center support to the floor so if you are OK with particle board it should be suitable for either mattress with the laxeby slats.
I can’t see how this one is constructed or the details of the slatted surface so I really can’t make any comments about it.

This might help you, we have 3 models of platform beds that have storage, The Upper Canada, The Lower Canada and the Organizer, all Mattress Underground members that get a bed frame from us, also get free extra slats, so that the space between each slat is only 1 and a half inches for optimal mattress support.
