After many failed attempts at trying to get comfortable with a Talalay latex mattress, I gave up and ordered a L&C.
Here’s my rantings about the Talalay:
Failed Talalay
I wasn’t expecting the L&C to arrive so soon, about a week after ordering, so wasn’t prepared for setting it up. It arrive in the late afternoon and I wanted to get it set up asap so got to work scooping up all the latex layers and trying to get them rolled up and vacuum sealed in plastic bags. Not so successful with all the pieces. Heavy and not a lot of storage room. But I managed to get them off the bed frame/box spring.
The L&C luxury firm Queen size is a SUPER heavy box that I had to get help with carrying it upstairs. Surprised at how quickly it expanded and how BIG it is. Hard to believe it fit into that box. I had a few hours only to let it expand, which I know isn’t the recommended time but since I didn’t have anywhere else to sleep, I slept on it anyway.
Holy heck, is it hard! I hope its because it didn’t expand enough and will feel softer tonight. I’m sore everywhere more than ever, but I have hope it’ll get better.
And I must say that I sleep hot, hot flashes and all. With the talalay, I was waking up multiple times covering and uncovering, adjusting the AC, very hot. But with this one, I woke up ONE TIME. Happy to say I was even cold at one point! That hasn’t happened since last winter. We’re in a heat wave here too.
Other than that, not much else to report but will add on after. few days.
