I just purchased a latex mattress from Arizona Mattress Co. While I wait for delivery, I’m wondering if I need a mattress cover? When I shopped for mattress’s I looked at the tempurpedic and they stated these require a mattress cover to give the mattress longevity. Does anyone know if latex mattress’s require the same? Do I need the type that “breathes” but doesn’t allow moisture to reach the mattress?

I think you may mean a mattress protector (your mattress already has a mattress cover).
Assuming this is what you mean … then yes, a protector is important to protect any mattress (regardless of the type) from the body fluids and skin cells that each of us release during the night, from stains or accidents (which would invalidate the warranty), and to keep your sleeping surface in a clean and hygienic condition.
