I was just wondering what your thoughts are on these 2 mattress pads-protectors. I just purchased the UD Latex mattress today

Both of these would be similar to the cotton/wool type of protectors that are mentioned in the mattress protector post here and if you are comfortable with any minor defects that go with seconds they are certainly a good price.
If it was me I would probably lean towards the organic version because it can be cleaned (although wool also has a “self cleansing” property if you put it out in the sun).
I’m not personally familiar with either of them but they say that both of them use 6 oz/yd of wool so this would be fairly thin relative to other types of wool mattress pads or protectors and shouldn’t have a significant effect on the feel of the mattress (although they will have more of an effect than the other two types which are thinner).
They are also listed as mattress pads rather than mattress protectors so I would talk with them about how water resistant they are since they will be more familiar with them than I am.
