Need help narrowing down

Hi BigDon2013,

I find it extremely odd that the chat representative wouldn’t know that the mattress you’re asking about is one or two-sided. I’m also not quite sure what you mean by that you “don’t know the difference between one or two-sided” - I’m guessing you mean you’re not sure if their mattress is a one or two-sided product (as opposed to not knowing the difference between one and two-sided)? Just to be clear, as I don’t want to misunderstand your question, the mattress is one-sided and not a product that would be flipped. This has been the “norm” in the mattress industry for approximately the past 15 years. The photos on their web page show a one-sided mattress, as well as the cutaway photo. Perhaps you were wondering if the item was flippable with alternate feels on either side? In which case, it is not. I hope I didn’t make that too complicated, but I want to be sure I’m addressing any question you might have

The Ultimate Dreams Eurotop mattress uses a 2.0 lb. polyfoam core with 3" of Talalay latex on top, and 1.5" of polyfoam in the quilt. This mattress is customizable, offering you the ability to exchange a layer in case you initially choose the wrong comfort with your initial choice. The Ultimate Dreams Latex Mattress (which is more difficult to tell if it is one-sided from the photo until you look at the cutaway) uses a 6" 1.8 lb. polyfoam core with 3" of Talalay latex on top with 1.5" of polyfoam in the quilt. This mattress is not customizable.

Between these two items, The Eurotop uses a more durable base foam and has options for customizing the comfort, so it would be more appropriate for your mass. With both mattresses, you would phone Dreamfoam when placing your order and they will help select the firmness of the product that they feel will best suit you and your sleeping style. Both mattresses do come with a 90-night risk free trial, so you can return these mattresses if they unfortunately don’t work out as well as you had hoped.

If you decide to up your price point to the Eurotop level, you may wish to peruse the members listed in post #21 here who are all very experienced and knowledgeable and specialize in providing the type of help and guidance on the phone that can help you make good choices. There are a wide range of latex and other options included in the choices there and I believe that all of them compete well with the best in the industry in terms of their quality, value, service, and transparency. Many of these products will be quite a bit above your price range, so I don’t know how many you’ll find that will fit your specific requirements, but it’s worth a look. Dreamfoam does offer some very good values in this price range.

Excellent idea!
