Need Help!

I just bought a twin size mattress from Casper, do I need a mattress cover on it? I prefer the terry surface and here are several mattress covers I’ve picked out:

Which one is the best? Or could I just don’t use it?

Hi xxxSandy,

Welcome to the Mattress Forum!

What you’ve linked to are mattress protectors. The ones you linked to all use some sort of a polyurethane film that is waterproof and breathable under the terry cloth. There is more about mattress protectors post #89 here, and here.

I don’t have any experience with any of those products. You would want to make sure that you do use some sort of a mattress pad or protector with any new mattress to help prevent body oils and skin cells from getting into your mattress and keeping as healthy of a sleep environment as possible.

Oh, phoenix, you hit the point! And the links help a lot! Thanks!

Hi xxxSandy,

I’m glad the information on the mattress protectors was helpful to you!
