Nest changed the type of Latex they use

I’ve been looking for a hybrid latex mattress for a while. While researching on the different brands websites, I came across this post on the Nest Q & A and reviews list.

Q: I understand that you’ve switched to talalay latex for the medium. What is the ILD rating of the latex? Does it have some kind of purity certification?

A: The latex in the medium Hybrid Latex mattress is an OEKO-TEX Talalay with an ILD of 28. The latex in the firm Hybrid Latex mattress is the same OEKO-TEX Talalay but with a layer of 36 ILD latex.

Their site hasn’t been updated and still says that they use dunlop latex in their hybrid latex beds. It makes me wonder when they made the change, and why they haven’t updated their site. I’m specifically looking for dunlop latex. This question made removing Nest from my short list an easy call.

You can choose either dunlop or talalay. The default is talalay, which has a great selection of feels, or you are able to choose dunlop. Just let us know which material you would prefer. You can put us back on your short list  Just place your order and email us which material you prefer. We are working on making that choice option function on the site.

Hi nestbedding,

Thanks for the quick update!
