The first place I would start your research is the tutorial post here which has all the basic information, steps, and guidelines that can help you make the best possible choice. I don’t make specific recommendations because there are too many unknowns, variables, and preferences to know which specific mattress or even which manufacturer makes a mattress that is best for you in terms of PPP (see mattress firmness/comfort levels in post #2 here) or is the best match for your personal value equation but the list of some of the better options and possibilities in the San Diego area is in post #2 here and includes one of the members of this site which I would certainly include in your research if they are within reasonable driving distance.
