As you’ve probably read on the site … this is pretty much “the norm” with the materials used in the pillowtops made by major manufacturers (polyfoam and synthetic fibers mostly) and one of the reasons I would avoid them.
I’m not sure what type of comments or reviews you are referring to here. I’m not a great fan of using reviews as a guideline (see post #4 here) which are usually written by people that have very little knowledge about mattresses and often mistake their “comfort” choice for the quality of a mattress. If you have some links with some examples of the types of reviews you mean I’d be happy to make some comments about them.
