Back sleeper and narrowed down to purchase the Pure Latex Bliss Pamper California King mattress only. The out-the-door cost is $1827.52, including shipping. Would like to get validation from you 1) . Is this a good value for this mattress? 2) You would advise to purchase the mattress top as well? 3) Would you recommend for me to consider other manufacturer or brands? 4) what is the difference between PLB natural and all natural mattresses?

The value of a mattress purchase depends on how well it matches your specific needs and preferences in terms of PPP, how it compares to any other similar finalists you are considering either locally or online, and all the other parts of your personal value equation that are important to you. In other words the “value” of a mattress purchase depends on much more than just the cost per inch of foam or the cost per pound of fabric (compared to other mattresses that use the same materials) or how well the purchase price compares to the regular selling price of the same mattress (which may not be the best reference point if other similar mattresses regularly sell for much less).
Having said that … the price you are paying is certainly fair for an 8" blended Talalay latex mattress and much less than the regular price of a PLB King Pamper so by that definition of value it would certainly be good.
This isn’t possible for anyone else to know based on “theory at a distance” because it would depend entirely on whether the mattress/topper combination was a better match for you in terms of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) and whether any difference was enough to justify the extra cost of the topper. Only your own testing (using the testing guidelines in the tutorial post) or personal experience can assess whether the combination would be better for you than the mattress by itself. I would make the choice based on the results of your own testing.
Yes … I think it’s a good idea whenever possible to have at least two or three finalists that are a good match for you in terms of PPP and your personal value equation so you can make a final choice between “good and good” rather than choosing a mattress by “default” without comparing it to any other options that are available to you.
