Recommendation for latex bed foundation

Building a king size all latex bed. 6" comfort layer and bottom 6" will be firm Dunlop. Existing bed has twin box springs. U-bar and wire grid (~4"x6") surface support.

I did a search on this forum for this topic but didn’t find anything concise. Is there a good post I’m missing?

Questions:

  1. Will this support the latex mattress properly or should a special purpose foundation be used?
  2. If special purpose foundation then what and any recommendations for on-line seller?

Hi ejp,

The foundation “sticky” thread has all of the information about that you need to know.

I believe what you have is a non-flexing “semi-flex” foundation, which is generally not recommended for all-latex mattresses.
