Interesting to look at the commodity pricing on rubber as it relates to the latex mattress industry

Ribbed smoked sheet isn’t used in mattresses but 60% DRC (dry rubber content) latex which is the latex that is typically used in foam production is lower yet and has a similar price graph.
The cartel that controls about 70% of the NR supply in the world (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia) is taking action to defend rubber prices which may go even lower yet. Vietnam is #4 but they are not a member. Reminds me of OPEC
It’s interesting too that NR and SBR prices have moved so close to each other.
