We are on our fifth warranty replacement of a original Stearns and Foster mattress, with all replacements having been Sealy. I wish there was a lemon law for mattress manufacturers because once again I am stuck selecting a mattress I know will not perform and dumping more money into delivery fees and upgrade charges.
So my question is, what is the best Sealy or Stearns and Foster mattress out there right now? I would like a medium firm mattress. We are replacing a king entry level latex hybrid mattress (Sealy Posturpedic Tranquil C and Sealy Posturpedic Cape Coral, in kind replacement) The last one developed craters in it in less than a year and I weigh 150 and my husband 210. So I am looking for suggestions on where to go from here, knowing I have to pick something by Sealy/SF? Looking at going back to SF if that makes any sense?
I still can not believe this major manufacturer still has no real eco-friendly mattresses on the market.

Infortunately you are in a difficult position of having to choose between mattresses that to some degree all share the same weaknesses or have relatively poor value but there are certainly some options you have that can help you make the best of difficult circumstances. You are unfortunately not alone in experiencing the more rapid softening of lower quality materials in the comfort layers of a mattress which is the “weak link” of most mattresses and the main reason that a mattress needs to be replaced. You are more fortunate than many other though becuse in many cases the foam softening and the loss of comfort and support that goes with it doesn’t usualy lead to the depth of impressions that is considered to be a defect and in most cases (unlike your own experiences) the majority of warranty issues are denied because the impressions aren’t deep enough or some of the other warranty exclusions (such as a small stain) preclude a warranty claim.
