SelectFoam Regalis HD 12"

My wife just got off the phone with Peter from SelectFoam. She says he was great to talk to and very helpful. We are excited to get our queen regalis HD 12" mattress… we’ve been stalking this site for a long time trying to make a decision. According to Peter, we should have it by the 27th. We asked about the return policy, and he said that they do come pick it up and ship it back to their store free of change, but it would be up to us to buy a mattress box and bag for $20-$30 then they’ll send fedex out to take care of it. Easy-peasy. :slight_smile:
They are honoring the 5% discount offered by this site in addition to the sale they currently have going on. The mattress was priced regularly at $1599, but with all this discounts and free shipping, our grand total came to $1376.55.

My mattress arrived today via FedEx… Two weeks exactly from the day I ordered it. Much quicker than I anticipated. I’ll update again once we have it set up and give it a go. So far, SelectFoam is getting high marks from me. They provided relatively quick shipping, great customer service (Thanks Peter) and they gave me with tracking info. as soon as the mattress was ready to be shipped.

I hate to say it, but it looks like I spoke too soon…

After testing out the mattress for just over 60 days, we decided it wasn’t for us, though the quality seemed good. We were put in touch with Dwight to handle the return. He was very polite and nice to talk to on the phone, but it took WEEKS to begin the return process.

We bagged and boxed the mattress ourselves, and put the “prepaid” bill of lading from Select Foam for the FedEx return on the box.

Well, the pick-up date kept getting moved back again and again which didn’t make a lot of sense to me since it had been “scheduled” by Dwight with FedEx already. So the huge box sat in our small town home for a long time. This wasn’t too big of a deal. We slept on a futon mattress on the floor in the mean time. It was finally picked up, and we thought to ourselves, “that’s that.”

Fast forward three weeks to today. I got a fedex notice that the mattress was “undeliverable” because I hadn’t paid for the shipping (the bill of lading said pre-paid on it… I assumed that meant it was … Well. Prepaid… Silly me.) it is now sitting in a fedex facility in Florida. Completely out of my hands.

I’ve emailed Dwight but haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully soon, and this will all be taken care of, but I’m just really disappointed, and now I wonder if I’ll ever get my refund. It would be so nice to buy a mattress soon and get off this futon, but we need to wait for our refund… Phoenix, if you’ve got any strings that you can pull, we’d appreciate it if you’d pull on them now.

I’m sorry to hear that your mattress didn’t work out for you. That wouldn’t normally be an issue with a good refund policy (and is the reason for the refund policy in the first place) but unfortunately … while their refund policy is good … their after sales service and timeliness isn’t “up to par”.

I don’t blame you for being disappointed or frustrated and these types of issues are really poor service IMO … and they are happening too frequently with Select Foam. I’m not sure when you emailed them last but while I’m sure this will be resolved … they are certainly taking much too long to deal with what should be a simple issue and I really don’t know why there would be an issue with prepaid shipping labels.

I’ve emailed Matt a link to your post and hopefully it can speed things up a little (or a lot) so that you can finalize your return and refund.

I would appreciate it if you can let me know when you receive a reply or when there are any other updates.

I’ve been made aware of this situation and am working to get a resolution this evening on the issue…
