Some of the information about buying a used mattress in post #2 here would also apply to a floor model (or a comfort exchange) as well. Outside of how you feel about sleeping on a mattress that other people have been lying on (some people would be more comfortable with this than others) … I would also make sure that you are comfortable with purchasing a mattress that has no warranty (see the Sherwood warranty here) and that is a final sale as well and that the discount is enough to justify the added risk.

I would also make sure that any discount you are receiving is calculated off the price that they would have normally sold the mattress for and not the manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) which is often a “fake” price and isn’t normally a price that anyone would actually pay for a mattress.
