SleepEz uses a wool quilted cover that is designed to work well to even out the feeling of the split layers so most people won’t feel the split itself (outside of the different firmness levels on each side of the mattress). You can read a little more about split layers here but with latex, undue sagging isn’t an issue and for most couples that had different needs and preferences the pros of a split layer and the ability to fine tune each side would outweigh the cons.
