T & N mattress foundation options

Is a slatted foundation preferred over a solid platform for maximum airflow/cooling? Or will it make a difference either way?

Any experience trying both options?

Thanks.

Hi ymattress,

Both of them would provide suitable support for the mattress but a slatted foundation will provide better airflow under the mattress and would have a lower risk of developing mold and mildew, or encouraging dust mites … especially if there are other risk factors involved for humidity (see post #10 here).

Thanks.

We recently purchased a T&N mattress. We ordered the wooden foundation from Sleep Ez. It was easy to put together and seems very sturdy.
