Artist, oil painter, photographer and have built fine
art projects, master’s level, serving Veterans who have
experienced homelessness and other
underserved homeless or recently homeless, with respect
and gratitude.

Have slept on traditional Japanese cotton futons (very firm)
upon 2" traditional tatamis, giving some additional give, for
a huge part of my life. I’ve never intentionally bought a mattress
so this is all new to me. (I inherited a mattress and slept on
them growing up though).

Too old and arthritic for such hard surfaces and my
girlfriend is suggesting much softer mattress, hence
this journey.

Aided heavily by a person who simply wanted to get his
previous APM Ultimate Hybrid- Pocket Coil/Latex unit’s
components (Pocket coil unit, one soft talalay latex topper,
and a couple memory foam toppers) into someone else’s
hands who could appreciate the components and complete it.
(He upgraded, also with APM I believe). Very kind and
knowledgeable person who recommended Mattress Underground,
plus saw it referenced, I believe, on Arizona Premium Mattress’s
mattresses.net site. Ken Hightower has been of great help and
all the people on Mattress Underground.
