1.5" spacing between slats -- is this enough for airflow?

It seems like the industry generally recommends foundation slats to be spaced 2.5" to 3" apart. However, the Terra Foundation by @MattressFoundations boasts that they’re the industry leader (with 1.5" spacing between slats).

From the perspective of providing support, durability, and increasing the longevity of a mattress, this appears to be the superior choice. But I’m concerned that this comes at the cost of reduced airflow.

Am I worrying too much? Is this enough space to provide good airflow?

1.5" spaced slats will provide plenty of airflow, and when the thickness of the slats are rigid enough, so they do not flex, this is a key feature, among many necessary design features and functions of a quality foundation.

For folks who are designing an all foam latex mattress (or any foam for that matter) the narrow slat spacing ensures the foam does not penetrate through them, and consequently keeps the mattress from any compromising due to foundational issues.

Latex is breathable enough, that it can be placed on a solid platform, although folks living in an exceptionally humid climate may be more comfortable with a platform/foundation that is slatted, and 1.5" is perfectly fine.
