So, I bought a king sized, Dreamfoam Ultimate Dreams 13 inch gel memory foam mattress today. Yay! I’d been researching since the summer and thanks to Mattress Underground (you goes rock!) I discovered you can buy Dreamfaom mattresses from their website. I thought you had to buy from Amazon. And this week they are giving 10% off. If I remember correctly, the discount from Dreamfoam for members was two pillows. I’ll take tthe 10%, thank you. Here are the price differences below depending on where you buy. All shipping was free.

Amazon, fufilled by Amazon: $917.76 plus $75.71 tax (I have to pay tax for anything fufilled through Amazon) total=$993.47
Amazon, fufilled by Dreamfoam: $899
Dreamfoam.com:$899- 10% total= $809.10

That is a huge savings! I hope the mattress is everything I hoped. Either way, can’t be worse then our old, creaky, coil mattress.

Just for the sake of clarity as well and for the sake of others that are reading this … the 10% discount on their mattresses purchased from their site is “semi permanent” and has been ongoing for several months and is likely to continue after the current discount expires.

The other advantage of ordering from their site rather than an Amazon purchase that is fulfilled by Dreamfoam is that you have the benefit of the 45 day comfort guarantee and the mattresses that are purchased from Amazon that are fulfilled by Dreamfoam don’t have a return policy (see post #2 here)

I hope you have the chance to share your comments and feedback when you receive your mattress and have had the chance to sleep on it for a bit.
