Adjustable base - does 70 degree elevation make that much difference?

Phoenix - thanks for this site - it is so helpful!

After reviewing information here and elsewhere on the internet, I am about to take the plunge on a new adjustable bed. I believe I have read that you have a Reverie model with maximum elevation of 70 degrees. I am considering either one of the Reverie models (probably 7S) and the Leggett & Platt D222, which I know only elevates the head to 58 degrees. I will be reading a lot and watching tv. I think I remember that you said you use the maximum elevation quite often; in your opinion, does that 12 degree difference in elevation make a lot of difference in comfort?

I had decided to go with the Reverie, but then today I ran across a special that Richmond Bedding is running for an extended electrical parts warranty that sounds really good, and that is making me rethink my choice.

Any feedback you can provide is much appreciated!

Edited to add: I see I posted this in the wrong section, but I don’t see an option to change it. So sorry!

Hi mlwlouky59,

As you mentioned the head elevation was one of the things that factored into our own decision and preferences and can certainly make “some” difference but it would probably be more important to some people than to others. By itself it probably wouldn’t have been enough to choose one model over another but it certainly was one of the criteria that made a difference for us. I think the best way to know whether it would make “enough” of a difference to be an important factor in your choice would be based on some local testing.
