Since getting married, my wife and I have wanted to get a king size bed and I was looking at the adjustable bases. I noticed that most of them are split for the king size. I am not looking for a split unit and would rather have the entire base be a single king sized frame. Are there any out there like that?

Not to my knowledge. They would be too heavy and difficult to transport up stairs, around tight corners, and through doorways but two twin XL adjustables can be connected and synched together so that each side moves simultaneously with a single remote so they would be exactly the same as having a single king size base.

The two twin XL units can sync via a cable or wirelessly (depending upon model) and they generally stay within an inch or so of each other. You don’t notice that there are two units under the bed. I’ll often recommend split queens for homes where the adjustable bed has to go up a stairway for a queen size. These items are heavy and their frame doesn’t bend, so you’ll appreciate the split whenever you have to transport or reposition these items…
