Trying to decide between the Rize Contemporary III and the Tempurpedic Ergo base.
Any thoughts? The retailer I am working with sells Rize, and I understand their warranty service is very good.

Hi karenamp,
Trying to decide between the Rize Contemporary III and the Tempurpedic Ergo base.

Adjustable mattress bases have really taken off in popularity in recent years. The ability to raise the upper and lower body help with snoring, poor circulation, and snoring among other conditions. Many of these are now controllable via smart device app as well as remote and as long as they are solidly built, can last a long time.
All the major players domestically (like Leggett and Platt, Rize, Reverie, Ergomotion) do a pretty good job. As you are saying the warranty and service is an important part of the puzzle. I took a look at both the Rize Contemporary III and the Tempurpedic Ergo Adjustable Base they appear to have similar features and the prices are within a couple hundred dollars of each other, not accounting for any current sales. They both have:
It’s still a good idea to verify that the base is compatible with your current mattress, as using a non-recommended base can void any warranty or exchange policies and potentially damage your mattress. As long as your mattress is compatible, it comes down to which features are most desirable to you? Do you have health issues - snoring, circulation issues, lumbar pain? Would additional positions be useful? Does having more robust zoned massage sound enticing? A voice activated app? …although some of these bells and whistles are not necessarily conducive to a good night rest but more stuff that can malfunction.
Purely objectively, the Rize does seem to have more features, at possible a bit higher price point. The tipping point in their favor might just be that you seem to have a favorable view of the retailer you are working with who offers the Rize, and a good warranty would provide peace of mind while you try it.
