Advice on narrowing down finalists

My girlfriend and I have spent about a month researching (mostly on TMU) and trying out mattresses and feel relatively confident in our “finalists”, though we’re having a difficult time choosing how to narrow it down further and proceed on to purchasing. Some quick details about us: I’m 5’ 10" and 185lbs and my girlfriend is similar and we’re both combination side/back sleepers with a preference towards side sleeping. Thankfully, we also tend to have matching preferences for mattress type and feel, leaning towards a medium foam bed with a more responsive feel.

Our primary list is the Mlily Serene Elite, the Nest Love & Sleep, and the Nest Natural Latex Hybrid. Here are my concerns/questions:

  1. We haven’t had much luck so far in getting detailed breakouts of the density of each layer independently from Mlily. We’re still trying to get in touch with their customer support, but the store line only offered that the layers are “between 2.8 and 5.2 PCF.” However, we agree that the Serene Elite seems to feel better than the Nest options in our in-store tests, leaving us unsure how to consider it.
  2. The Nest Love & Sleep was close to the Mlily, but I have heard some tales on other sites about nonoptimal longer-term durability. I also wonder since it is markedly cheaper than our other options.
  3. While Nest is a trusted member, the Natural Latex Hybrid includes 3 separate 1-1.5" layers of 1.5 PCF poly foam, which seems low by TMU standards.

Additionally, I’ve heard some good things about GhostBed and with the induction of them into the TMU Trust Members list, I wanted to investigate their offerings. It seems that the GhostBed Luxe mostly matches our preferences (medium, cool-sleeping, responsive all-foam bed), but we’re concerned that it would be the only contender we can’t try out before buying. Any advice for how to consider this or narrow down our other choices is greatly appreciated!

Curious to know if you decided on which direction to go. I’m in a similar situation as you.
