My wife and I are torn on some mattresses and are looking for the best one for us. Were on the heavier side, I’m about 5’11 230lbs side sleeper who plans to lose another 30lbs. My wife is 5’1 at 185 and is a stomach sleeper who is also losing weight. We originally tried the M1 Plush King Mattress and we thought it was great but we were presented with an offer to go to the Luxetop for just a little more so we figured we would go to the luxetop series and get the M2 Plush however it may be too soft or so we think. The M2 Plush arrived mis-shapen so the store is going to exchange it but is offering to allow us to change the comfort level if we need too. So now is where the confusion comes in. Do we keep the M2 Plush, or do we go with one of the two mattress below. We are thinking we probably would need a more medium mattress based on our numbers and different sleep positions.
The store where we purchased it from has a Luxetop M2 Firm and a Luxetop M2 Luxury Firm, unfortunately I can’t find much info on the Firm and they don’t have the Luxury Firm in store to try.
What did you end up with and what are your thoughts? We purchased at ABT as well - getting the M2 firm because it’s in stock and our current Tempurpedic is killing me, but wondering if we should have waited on the luxury firm without trying one out…
So we ended up getting the M2 Firm. Best decision ever. I would stay away from the M2 Luxury Firm if you don’t want plush. Abt is pretty good to work with as I’m sure you know.
My wife and I found a M2 Lux Firm in Indiana and we were on a road trip to NYC and on our way back home we stopped to just take a look and see. Its significantly softer after break in it felt even softer than the M2 Plush.
One of the salesmen at Abt had told me that after break in the Lux Firm would feel like a plush and he was spot on so really glad I listened to him.
Some additional info, the M2 Firm is specifically made for Abt, its one of the only retailers that has it. I was able to get someone from Aireloom on the phone and was able to ask some questions on it because theres no info out there and I thought maybe this was an older mattress but it wasn’t Abt just specifically asks Aireloom to manufacture this for them.
Good luck with your mattress! I hope it solves the issues you’re experiencing!
Yup - I called Aireloom today and they told me the same thing - same high quality materials and manufacturing - just specifically made for ABT.
ABT has been awesome in everything we’ve ever done with them - this mattress exchange is no exception - so I’m sure if there is an issue they’ll make it right - but feeling a lot better now.
