Recently bought the aireloom streamline lux firm mattress and have had it for about a month. The same mattress in the store was not nearly as firm and my husband was eager to move forward and seems to be comfortable on this mattress. What I like about it is that if he moves around, I can’t tell at all.
However, I haven’t been able to fall asleep without tossing and turning, and now I wake up in the middle of the night to readjust. I also wake up with hip and shoulder pain. So my sleep is not doing great and then I’m in pain all day. The sales rep at the store said it could take months for my body to adjust but the pain during the day is truly hindering my quality of life.
I know mattresses take a while to break in, so I’m thinking of getting a mattress topper to alleviate the pain from the initial break in period.
I’d love mattress topper recommendations for a hot side sleeper - 5’2 and weight about 115lbs. I’m deliberating the Sleep Majestic talay latex mattress 3" soft topper.
For a light side sleeper I think that would probably work. The bed in the store was already broken in from people laying on it which will happen to the new bed eventually.
Thank you again for your response. Good questions - the bed is a king and i’m thinking of getting a twin XL for the topper - my husband doesn’t need the topper, and I want to maintain how little the mattresses transfers movement.
