In the past 8 years, I have had three latex toppers, all from Pure Bliss. The first topper lasted about 5 years, then had noticeable indentations. I replaced it with another Pure Bliss, which lasted only about two years, then developed indentations affecting the comfort. The latest topper is only a year old and has become uncomfortable with deep indentations on both sides. My husband and my weight has been the same over the entire period of time - he about 200 lbs, me 150. I would like to replace the Pure Bliss with another latex topper, but am curious as to why the Pure Bliss toppers seem to have diminished in quality. I would also appreciate recommendations as to where to find a topper comparable to the Pure Bliss 3" plush but preferably with a longer life span.
Hey Janenjohndoe,
Welcome to the Mattress Underground ! Thanks for your question.
Three latex toppers over an 8 year period does seem off from a durability standpoint; sorry to hear that you’ve experienced diminished durability with each succeeding one as latex is generally regarded as the highest quality/ most longevity of components. What thickness and ILD were your Pure Latex Bliss toppers? Where did you purchase your toppers from and have you reached out to that source(s) with the indentation concerns?
These are some of our trusted members here who offer Latex topper options that you may wish to consider . All these site members are very familiar with the PTB line and will be able to offer options that are similar to your toppers. They use high quality and durable materials and are extremely knowledgeable about latex and different configurations, and I would not hesitate to recommend them for your consideration:
Hope this helps and good luck with your latex topper replacement research, Janenjohndoe.
Thanks,
Sensei
Thank you for your response, Sensei. The Pure Bliss toppers we have had were of the 3" Plush variety, which am told is in the ~20ILD range. And yes, we had quite a few discussions with the management at Pure Bliss, who did replace the topper after much haggling. The topper was initially purchased through Healthy Back Store. I appreciate the listing of merchants your provided to help in our quest.
