Alternatives to Sterns&Foster and Beautyrest?

Hello there,

We are in the market for a new mattress and haven’t been able to settle on something. Hoping for some input from others on possible avenues to look at.

Mattresses we have slept on and did not like:
Kirkland Signature by Stearns and Foster Lakeridge

  • liked the spriny feel but it was to firm
    Ghostbed Luxe Plush
  • cant pinpoint one specific thing but waking up with upper back and neck pain

We have one broad shoulder combo sleeper and one curvier side sleeper. Located in Alberta.

Mattresses we have gravitated towards in store seem to be innersprings that are plush/higher pressure relief.

Beautyrest Imperial Lux Supra at Sleep Country

Stearns & Foster Founders Collection Derby County Eurotop - The Brick

I hate the whole box store inflated sticker price and all the negative reviews that seem to come with the sleep trials of if you ever needed to warranty a mattress with these bigger commission type stores.

Any help people can provide with possible alternatives, reviews of the S&F or Beautyrest, or any other general advice would be apprecaited!

Thanks

Hello thedonfather17.

Welcome to our Mattress Forum.

Sorry to hear you haven’t found a bed that feels quite right. It’s important to keep in mind that mattresses do come with an adjustment period and while some soreness can be possible, you definitely shouldn’t be feeling true pain.

Upper back and neck pain can most often be attributed to the pillow, so when you switch mattresses, it’s not uncommon to need new pillows as well! The whole ecosystem gets thrown off

Have you had a chance to look at the options from @MFC (Memory Foam Comfort) - you may find some interesting options there, and Mario is extremely knowledgable and would be able to help point you in the right direction of a best fit for you and your partner!
