Any experiences or reviews of sleep365?

Hi,

As part of starting my journey of buying a new mattress I was looking at local stores in the SF/San Jose area of California and I stumbled upon sleep365. Since they had a local showroom I was able to try out their all latex mattress which felt like it is in the right ballpark of firmness for me. Does anyone have experience with them?

Should I be concerned if they are only 5 years old that it would be hard to know their durability? Is there a way to get a feel for that even with them being that new?

Unfortunately many of the other local stores cited in previous threads that offered latex/all form mattress seem to have closed down, so trying to see what new local stores exist.

Hi lyrical and welcome to The Mattress Underground

The best way to see what mattress type might be right for you is in person testing, as you have done. I looked at the Sleep365 Presidio All Latex Mattress, and it seems well constructed, though on the higher end pricewise. As you can see in the Durability Guide, latex is one of the most durable of mattress materials; I would not worry too much that the they are only 5 years old, any latex beds should hold up for many years. The only possible red flag with this would be if the comfort uppermost layer is extra soft or soft and your BMI is more than 30 (give link to BMI to check it out) If so then to the additional mechanical stress a higher weight range individual places upon the mattress often leads to a premature wear of the lower density/softer latex layer on top. This would not affect higher density latex layers.

Good to hear that you " felt like it is in the right ballpark of firmness" for you. As you know this is completely dependent on your needs, preferences and personal Stats.(height, BMI, sleeping position(s) and any underlying health conditions) and their PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences); and while in some cases may take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks to ‘break in’ and for you to adjust to a new mattress, and it should not have a drastic change in feel from when you first tried it out. This said it’s great that sleep365 offers the 90 days sleep trial in case you did not quite dialed in on the best comfort/support option for you. Possibly someone who owns a sleep 365 latex bed can weigh in as well to share their experiences

As you have seen first-hand, with the turmoil in the business and retail sphere over the last few years we cannot provide geographic listings for showrooms and manufacturers, Though a number of ourTrusted Members who carry all latex mattresses are near the SF region likeNest Bedding who have showrooms in Albany/Berkeley as well as Chico, San Diego, Santa Monica and Costa Mesa; also , further south there is MemberFlexus Comfortin Covina, FloBedsin Ft Bragg, and Mattress Makers located in La Mesa, and
BioSleep Conceptin Riverside all offer quality latex mattresses- if you provide them with some info on your Stats and PPP they can suggest suitable mattresses to match your budget and comfort requirements. Also, most of theTrusted Members of the site ship anywhere in the US and have been vetted to have great quality products, total transparency in components and construction, and very generous return/exchange policies, if you decide to go that route.

In all, it sounds like you are off to a good start; I wish you success on your journey to find that perfect mattress. Please let us know your experience with whichever you buy once you have had some time with it!
