Anyone have experience with Essentia Mattresses?

Hi all:

I am curious if anyone has experience with Essentia Mattresses? As I continue my search for a plush, as natural as possible (while not sacrificing comfort) mattress, I stumbled on their website. I have been researching memory foam toppers and have been disappointed with what I have been able to find.

Essentia’s mattresses are quite a bit pricier than I was considering, but they sound really nice. I am trying to do some more research on them. All I can find on the forum here are some 10 year+ old posts about the claims made about their latex memory foam.

Since I am interested in a plush, it seems like this is the lowest available tier:

I almost bought their Dormeuse Fior but it just seemed like too little mattress for too much moneyalong with scant reviews out there. I’d be interested if you find more than I did back then. Then I discovered this forum which convinced me I made the right decision. I see they’ve overhauled their lineup since I last looked. There were at least 3 Dormeuse variations including the Fior.

Thank you, will be sure to reply if I come across any more information. I agree with your assessment 100%- lots of money for too little mattress, and very little third party info out there. I was considering making a day trip out to one of their showrooms, but the mattresses shown as “on display” on the showroom website are are the old models (including the Dormeuse Fior). Since you were looking at the fior model, curious if you’ve since found a mattress you’ve been happy with?

I have no personal experience with Essentia and while their latex apparently has some unique additives and properties the pricing seems quite high. You should also make sure you fully understand their policies before purchasing including their return policy which includes a 9% fee within their 120 day trial. For reference that currently comes to over $300 US on the model you linked to. Hope someone else may have some direct experience with Essentia to share.

I wound up with an organic latex mattress from SleepEZ. No regrets. Had a Latex Mattress Factory model (now discontinued) before that, but it was too firm.
