Anyone own the Tempurpedic Rhapsody?

Hi everyone,

I have been following the reviews of the Select Foam Regalis beds, which is most helpful!

I wondered if any readers out there actually own the real Tempurpedic Rhapsody? And if so, how long have you had it? Would you buy it again? Would love your thoughts!

Thanks!!!

Hope I can be of some help. I do not own the Tempurpedic Rhapsody bed (almost bought one years ago), but my friend does. I have slept on it for a week long stint and intermittently laid on it a few times (although not in the past 2+ years). I found it conducive to side sleeping (I am a side sleeper) which I am unable to do on my knock-off Dynasty Mattress bed (which I am looking to replace after discovering that it apparently contains a carcinogenic agent) without hurting my back. After a couple of years I found the Tempurpedic to hold up well in density (the foam doesn’t appear to be breaking down with any speed) while my knock-off Chinese bed is clearly softer and causing back pain on all by the far left side (where I now sleep on it). The last time I had spoken with my friend 2+ years ago, he did not feel any degradation in the foam. Points of note: It does sleep hot, yes he would buy it again (at employee pricing as original), he has tried my knock-off bed when new and not noticed a difference in feel but did not regret the purchase of the Tempurpedic for 3x the price.

I am 5’9" male, 165lbs, side sleeper (70%), back sleeper (30%). I also have intermittent low/mid back pain. I am also looking into the Select Foam line (Aurora-HD and Grandis-HD peak my interest) due to their warranty length and terms and high density quality foam. Tomorrow I will call them and get the full details on pricing and foam quality (they don’t mention that they are Certi-pur or anything).

Thank you Grand Master, I really appreciate that insight! I’ll be curious what you decide should you begin your new mattress search soon!

No problem. I spoke with Juan at SelectFoam for over a half hour yesterday and he was able to answer a lot of my questions. I’m going to start a thread with the information and further questions I have that maybe Phoenix or owners of SelectFoam can answer.
