Bedskirt on Adjustable Base

Has anyone had success with an elasticized bedskirt on an adjustable base?

If you are using an adjustable base, with a zero clearance option, or one resting on a platform, it can make sense to use a bed skirt.

Placing it between the mattress and the adjustable base would be quite a challenge.

There are adjustable bases that come with a bed frame attached or as part of the system. These types of bases can provide a more integrated and streamlined look for your bed. Perhaps on this type of adjustable a bed skirt/ dust ruffle might work.

I already have the base, want a temporary fix until we decide on new furniture (which could be a year or more down the road). I was thinking an elasticized skirt around the upholstered part of the base might work, attached with upholstery twist-pins. Other options are a homemade “tailored” skirt that wraps around the legs of the base (clearing all motion mechanisms), a skirted bedspread or attaching a bedskirt to a quilt. Would love to see photos of what others have done, other than the obvious bed frame that encases the entire base.
