Best bed for lumbar issues?

Hi Ken,
Your chat window suggested I email you. I am in the market for a new bed. I have lower back pain. (Spondylolosthesis), compressed vertebrae in neck. Average weight and I am in my 60’s. I am a stomach sleeper. I’ve read much of the info on this site and it seems that I need a thin top “comfort” layer, perhaps latex or memory foam, and a firm core of the bed. Does this sound right? I found this site after I had bought a Leesa mattress which is a disaster and I’ll be returning it. I wake up with pins and needs in my arms several times a night as it is much too soft. I am on a budget and I see that you offer a bed base on which you can put various toppers. I’m thinking a 3" latex topper. This seems like an affordable and reasonable way to go. Would appreciate any input as to whether I am on the right track or not. (I also emailed you but haven’t heard back from you yet so no need to respond to both this post and the email).

You should definitely consider a firm base whether latex, spring or foam. A medium to firm 3" latex top would also be advised depending on your weight. Since the Leesa was too soft I would probably go with the firm latex topper. So yes, you are on the right path. I was gone last week attending the mattress expo in Charlotte so may have missed your email. Thank you for reaching out to me.

Thanks so much! I’m going back on your website to check out what you have.

Great, contact me through the website if you need further help.
