Best Foam Mattress Manufacturers in Orlando Florida

I know of only one place in Orlando/Kissimmee area for good latex and Memory foam mattresses and that is The Original Mattress Factory. I went there today and tried what they had (Two latex and one memory foam). First, I was shocked that was all the choices they had…even more shocked the memory foam was the most firm (Serenity was the name) and I think it was the one I would have picked! The Latex sounded good (not Dunlap) but they both were two soft for my tastes.
I thought it wise to hold off making that purchase until asking this forum if there is another place around here I should check or maybe the internet?
I’m 5’10’ about 210LBS (Ex-body builder gone bad! LOL) My wife is about 5’ nothing and 108 lbs. I sleep either on my back or side (But do not like soft beds), she is a stomach sleeper.
I have read this forum and understand the basic principles but I can’t seem to locate a good quality place other than TOMF (As stated above).

Anyone able to help, it is appreciated.

PS. My budget requires I stay around $1500…

Hi jefmoody,

Some of the better options in the Orlando area I’m aware of are listed in post #2 here.

Original Mattress Factory is one of these but as you mentioned their latex mattresses are on the softer side. The Serenity uses high quality materials and as you mentioned is also on the firmer side and you can see some comments about it in post #2 here.

As I mentioned in that post as well … Original Mattress is somewhat unusual among manufacturers in that they use an “active” boxspring" under their foam mattresses which may make them softer and I would also test them on a solid foundation so you can see how they perform with a non flexing foundation as well.

Thank you Phoenix…

I couldn’t pull the trigger on Memory Foam…
Now I am thinking about ordering the 14" Aloe Alexis from http://www.brooklynbedding.com/latex-mattresses/14-inch-aloe-latex-mattress.

I am hoping you can tell me this is a good one…I picked from their site because they are a member here.

Hi jefmoody,

Like all the members here … Brooklyn bedding makes great quality and value mattresses and the Aloe Alexis is a very flexible choice because it has two layers of latex that can be customized and either re-arranged or exchanged to fine tune how it feels and performs even after a purchase. I believe it is their most popular latex or latex hybrid mattress.

post #2 hereAs you can see in though … the best way to make your firmness choices would be based on the results of your own personal testing on similar latex mattresses or failing that a more detailed conversation with the manufacturer who can help you make an “educated guess” about your most suitable choice based on the averages of their customers with similar body types, sleeping styles, and preferences.

Thanks for this site and your advice… I ordered the Aloe Alexis 3-level firmness (Foam top = 32 ILD over 36 ILD base).
I did mention your site and got the 5% discount. I’ll report back in a month or so to say I love it or otherwise.
Best Regards,
Jeff

Hi jefmoody,

Congratulations on your new mattress

You certainly made a good quality and value choice and I’m looking forward to your feedback when you’ve had the chance to sleep on it for a while.
