best mattress height for an adjustable bed

Hello, I wonder if I could get some advice regarding what is the best height mattress for an adjustable bed? I’ve read information saying it is less than 12" however, I need a soft to medium firmness and most of what I see available is minimum of 12" high.
Thanks in advance for your help!

It would depend to some degree on the specifics of the mattress and the flexibility of the materials and components inside it but 12" is a good “general” guideline.

Having said that … some mattresses that are thinner may not contour as well and some mattresses that are a little thicker may still be OK on an adjustable bed so your best source of guidance when it comes to a specific mattress would be a knowledgeable retailer that sells it or the manufacturer that makes it.

There are many “soft to medium” firmness mattresses in the industry that are 12" or less (either memory foam, latex, polyfoam, or pocket coil mattresses) that would work well on an adjustable bed.
