I found a Naturepedic Halcyon Arcadia on fb marketplace for under 1/4th of the ticket price, at $2600. Warranty doesn’t transfer, no returns, and it was used regularly for a little over a year. Looks pretty clean and not sagging. Went and laid in it today.
For $1000 less I can get a SleepEZ hybrid, warranty and returns available. I’ve never tried one of these beds but heard they are pretty solid and have good customer service.
What would you do?
My husband and I are 150/120 lb side sleepers. Looking for pressure relief and support. And durability! I want it to be a long time before I have to agonize about which mattress to get again!
I won’t pay $2600 for that mattress. It is made of 6" coils + two 3" Dunlop layers,
Two 3" Dunlop layers in King cost you $600. Coils cost you $400. That’s about $1000. And they are used for a year.
Once a mattress is used for one year, I wouldn’t even pay 10 percent of the mattress price, if it is really clean. Why? It just costs 20% to make a luxury mattress. Just because someone pays 10k for a mattress, I won’t pay 2.5k for that used mattress. I compare the cost of materials with what the seller wants. In my local area, some guy is trying to sell his Naturepedic EOS trilux mattress for $4k for the last four months; no takers: Premium Naturepedic Trilux Organic Mattress – Pristine Condition - general for sale - by owner - craigslist
Just go with SleepEZ hybrid or even their 3 layer latex mattress.
Getthe sleepez hybrid and if you want to add a plush topper you can
