So, we ended ip buying a Sealy gel series.
We got the mattress, is a king and measures 76x76 (?)
Called the store and they claim this is the “new king” size.
Called Sealy and they claim their king is 76x79.5 which is the same of my old one and makes more sense.
Did they sell me a sample at full price? Have we been screwed?

You can see the standard dimensions that Sealy uses on their website here and they have a spec tolerance of +/- 1/2" to 1" so if your mattress is only 76" long and you have measured correctly then it would be “out of spec” which would be a legitimate reason to exchange it for another mattress that is inside their spec tolerances.
