I see the main different seems to be extra 3" talalay layer on the Aloe Alexis. Would this extra layer benefit a heavier ~250lb side sleeper individual more in terms of comfort and/or durability - the two layers of latex vs one?
I see the Aloe Alexis is only $300 less than the basic Flo bed select which looks like a nice product.

You can read a little more about the differences between the Bamboo Bliss and the Aloe Alexis in this thread and in post #1 and #2 here and this thread would also be well worth reading.
I also agree with you that the Flobeds mattresses are also a good quality/value choice.
With any online mattress you are considering I would make sure you have a more detailed conversation with the manufacturer so you are confident that any mattress you are considering is likely to be a suitable choice for you in terms of PPP.
