Brooklyn Bedding Return Policy

Hi,

When I purchased my mattress from BB the layer exchange policy required a $200.00 deposit but, I don’t recall there being a S&H fee. Please, someone correct me if this is wrong.
Now the deposit is $300.00 minus a $75.00 S&H fee. Does anyone know when this policy change took place? I want to exchange a layer and feel that the policy that was in force when I purchased the mattress should be honored.

Thanks for any information.

Hi smilingwolf1,

Have you asked that same question of Brooklyn Bedding? They’d be the first people to ask. They may already honor previously stated terms.

Thanks for the quick reply dn. I was hoping to find out if there was a S&H charge in the original exchange policy. I’m pretty sure at the time I purchased my mattress there wasn’t. I only remember there being a $200.00 deposit fee. I was hoping someone could recall what the exchange policy used to be. This way when I call for the exchange, I can point this out.

Hi smilingwolf1,

The original exchange policy had a shipping and handling charge of $75 and had a $200 deposit. They can confirm when the change happened.

Thank you Phoenix. I appreciate it.

I did an exchange with them about 40-45 days ago. The original terms were $200 but it had changed to $300 when I went to do it…for me it was a non-issue as they only keep $75 either way.
Maybe too many people were keeping the extra slice of Latex so they raised the price - I see no real issue here as long as they do not keep more $$ than they originally stated.
I’ve already bought a second mattress from them since then so you can see I have no heartburn about what they will keep if I try to rip them off.

Hi smilingwolf1,

My earlier reply to you was nagging at me so I checked the wayback machine here and the earlier exchange policy also had a $75 shipping and handling change. Sorry for giving you incorrect information (and I’ve edited my original post so it’s accurate). The deposit has changed but that’s refundable.

I believe there was a time where there were no fees but that was some time ago and I wouldn’t trust my memory (the wayback machine only linked back to May and the page I linked was from August)
